How to Increase the Number of Email Subscribers

My team and I have written a lot about this in the past. But here are some very basic tips for increasing your email subscribers:

Make it easy for people to subscribe

We are biased because we own Hello Bar. However, we believe that every website must have an easy and obvious way for people to armenia phone number library subscribe to your email list. Popups like those offered by Hello Bar and other companies are the most effective way to achieve this.

Pop-up email capture units have very high conversion rates. And, we encourage you to consider a dedicated pop-up company rather than using the basic service provided by your email provider. Many of our clients compare us to these companies and we outperform them by an average of 2-5 times?

Incentivize people to subscribe

Give people a reason to subscribe to your email list. This could be a coupon, special access, a sneak peek at a new product, or a whole  entrepreneurship and hard work host of reasons. Again, products like Hello Bar make this easy because you can test different incentives to see which works best.

Encourage people to forward your emails

A friendly and simple suggestion is to forward your ecommerce email marketing emails, which can be an easy way to grow your list. This requires you to send emails that are worth sharing, but that’s for the next tip.

Adding value to emails

Most e-commerce email marketing efforts are too focused on selling, selling, selling. That’s fine. But let’s take an example. Let’s say you sell an text services endurance supplement to long-distance runners.

You can send regular emails with coupons and specials on supplements. Or, you can send regular emails with running tips. Which is the most valuable? The latter is the most valuable.

Runners hang out with other runners, so make it easy for them to share your email with their friends.

Also, let’s say Jim gets 100 email signups from 8 visitors to his website.

8 x 3 months x $1.50 = $36.

However, 2 people also purchased flowers from these 100 visitors, with an average order of $100.

If Jim does not consider the value of the email subscribers he acquired, Jim calculates that he sold two orders. After deducting the cost of goods, each order is $50, which means that Jim spent $100 to make $100. Therefore, Jim decides to stop this marketing effort.

After 3 months, Jim’s revenue remains the same because he has not found a growth channel. However, during those three months, Jim’s actual sales could be $100 + $36 (emails). This means his business could have grown during that time.
